Just further proof that you no longer need to know how to play guitar to be a rock star these days, the esteemed rock club Double Door will be home to the US Air Guitar Regionals this Thursday.
The event will pit the best Air Guitarists in all of Chicago against one another for a chance to represent the Windy City at the USAG National Finals, to be held in Chicago at the Metro on July 23.
The winner of that event, in addition to being crowned the official 2011 US Air Guitar Champion, will go on to represent the US at the Air Guitar World Championships in Oulu, Finland.
Tickets for this Thursday's USAG Regionals event are $16. I wonder if they'll have change for an "air twenty" at the door.
