Longtime Chicago-based bass player Jon Brant turns 58 today.
Brant is best known for his stint in Cheap Trick, replacing interim bass player Pete Comita in 1982. Brant played on the band's albums "One On One", "Next Position Please", "Standing On The Edge" and "The Doctor". In 1987, he was replaced by original bassist Tom Petersson.
Brant played for many years with local blues artist Lynne Jordan & The Shivers and can be seen these days performing with singer/guitarist Micki Free (formerly of Shalamar).
