WGN Radio is inviting all area musicians, bands, and songwriters to contribute their own original song to the WGN Radio Cubs Song Contest. To enter, simply submit your original song in mp3 format to cubssong@wgnradio.com by February 29, 2012.
That gives you well over a week to come with something that Cubbie fans will hear played on WGN Radio all season long. The only stipulations are that your song mention the Chicago Cubs (duh) and WGN Radio. Also, do not mention individual Cubs players or coaches. Lastly, songs over 4 minutes long will not qualify.
New morning host Jonathan Brandmeier has been playing random entries each day on his radio show, so, once you enter, you might just wake up one day and hear your song on the radio. Of course, if you win the contest, you'll hear your song on the radio all season long.
