Big news! Superior St. and The City of Chicago (perhaps you've heard of it?) have joined together to bring you the first of what we hope will become the first of many such events celebrating the rich tapestry of artists found within the venerable walls of Superior St.
Since 1998, the fine folks at Superior St. have worked tirelessly to create a home where artists can create without restrictions, whether it be music, art, theatre, film, etc. Placing community above commerce, Superior St. has come to be regarded as the most in-demand rehearsal facility in all of Chicago. Other facilities may come and go, but Superior St. remains dedicated to nurturing artists of all stripes and, this weekend, we invite you to help us celebrate our artistic landscape with the entire city as we open our doors to the public for the very first time.
The theme of this event, "Crossing Borders", seeks to shine light on the breadth and scope of artists of various genres and mediums creating art in their natural habitat and displaying their stellar performance skills.
Those looking to be inspired, or to merely partake in the rich art community to be found at Superior St., are invited to visit Superior St. (2744 W. Superior St., Chicago IL) this Friday from 3pm to 9pm and Saturday from 1pm to 8pm.
