While a growing number of folks are of the mind that the Misfits are decades beyond their last scintilla of relevance, obviously their hearts are in the right place as the band hauls ass into Chitown to headline a benefit show tonight at City Winery for Chicago photographer John "Nunu" Zomot, who is recovering from a recent heart attack.
Tonight's show will hopefully help offset some of his medical expenses so, with that in mind, the ticket price of $40 doesn't seem quite so stiff. Of course, those who spring for the $50 ticket will receive a limited-edition event-specific t-shirt.
Jerry Only, pictured above, is the Misfits' sole remaining original member, taking over lead vocals in 2001 after the departure of Michale Graves. Of course, the band's most famous original member, Glenn Danzig, left in '83 to form Danzig.
