That the video in question was for a song recorded by a then-unproven artist by the name of Billy Idol and had already been issued a year earlier under his band's name, Gen X, but failed to chart.
Whatever it was that led Hooper to be involved in such a project, whether it be curiosity, artistic ambition, or simply money, the resulting video was worth every penny. If nothing else, the video's use of extensive sets, choreographed zombies seems to have laid the groundwork for yet another video, Michael Jackson's "Thriller".
Of course, Hooper's video is infinitely more watchable.
