Georgia by Yuck
If you'd have told us a year ago that we'd be raving about some London band called Yuck, we'd have probably hit you with our man-purse, but the damn truth of it is that greatness often comes in deceptive packages and when you least expect it.
Yuck, of course, is a new band of twenty-something Brits who, despite not being old enough to have experienced it first-hand, embody all that is great about late 80's/early 90's brit-rock. There's a little Blur, some Pulp, a dash of Ride, and pinches of the Sundays, Darling Buds, and Sonic Youth (at their most melodic) in the heady musical hodge-podge that is Yuck.
The band's self-titled debut album comes out Tues Feb 15 on Fat Possum. Get it.
