With their Metro show mere days away (Feb 11, sorry, tix sold out long ago), UK hard rockers The Darkness have released a new single (and video) called "Nothing's Gonna Stop Us."
Of course, it wasn't so long ago (2006, to be exact) that singer Justin Hawkins left the band to deal with substance abuse issues, citing an inability to play rock & roll and stay sober at the same time. Sadly, the band called it a day, with remaining members going on to form The Stone Gods. Great band, but it wasn't The Darkness.
Now, of course, the band is back and better than ever. Did we mention that this is the original line-up that's gotten back together? Yep. Frankie Poullain, who left after the first album, is back too!
To our ears, the band sounds rejuvenated and, truth be told, we ned a band like this now more than ever.
