It just kills me that there are still people in this town that think Steve Albini is an asshole.
Would an asshole appear on a show hosted by a cat? Of course not, which is why you will never see Donnie Vie appear on a show hosted by a cat unless said cat promises to let Donnie keep any broken TV's he finds in the dumpster out back, provided said cat also promises to give Donnie a ride home, but I digress.
The truth of the matter is that there is no better barometer for bullshit than our own Mr. Albini, whose Electrical Audio continues to be the Midwest mecca for any indie band on a budget with dreams of working with a rock & roll legend, and his recent appearance on Lil Bub's BIG SHOW proves once and for all that, while Albini takes music and production very seriously, he doesn't take himself nearly as seriously as people might think.
Now, if only he'd allow some enterprising indie label to re-issue Big Black's Atomizer in its proper configuration.
