At Lollapalooza in Sao Paulo, Brazil, Muse celebrated twenty years together by pulling out a song that inspired them in their early days, Nirvana's "Lithium". Despite suffering from tour-related laryngitis, Muse singer Matthew Bellamy turned in a great vocal performance, but the most inspired vocal performance goes to the Brazilian fans, who are legendary for their boisterous concert singalongs.
The night prior to Muse's performance, St. Vincent covered the very same tune at her sold-out Chicago performance at the Riviera.
Muse, of course, will be back on U.S. soil very soon for their headlining appearances at Coachella on April 12 and 19. The band will then return to work on their new studio album, tentatively scheduled for a fall 2014 release.
