Prince Residency Coming To Chicago??

If you are one of the few people who actually finds the George Lopez Show watchable, then you may have also been privy to a phone call that Lopez took live, on-the-air, from the Purple One himself, Prince. The purpose of the phone chat, of course, was to announce the first of what will be a 21-date run of L.A. area shows on April 14th at The Forum.

Word has it that the next date after that will be a super-secret show at Largo At The Coronet Theatre (an intimate and artist-friendly room that is home to Jon Brion, Aimee Mann, Grant Lee Buffalo and John Waters, among others) on April 16th.

According to our source, there will be no advance tickets sales for this show, so, if you happen to be in L.A. and want to catch a legend in the best room in L.A., don't miss out on this one.

A quick view of Largo's calendar for April shows April 16 (a Saturday) conspicuously open. Hmm.

This same source tells The Shit that Prince is currently finalizing plans for a Chicago residency that will see him playing numerous venues in the area, including Park West, Metro, Double Door, and (GASP!) The Venue at Horsheshoe Casino.

At present, dates are penciled in for June. We will provide further updates as new information becomes available so STAY TUNED, babies!
